Last updated | 21/11/2008

Community Re>Paint Scheme , launched in November 2004, is a project run by The Walled Garden which collects and facilitates paint products to be recycled. Anyone wanting to dispose of their unwanted paint products (see table below) can do so by delivering them to The Walled Garden at the address below or by delivering them to Friarton Recycling Centre, Perth.

These paints are then passed on to charities or community groups for use. This both saves on resources by not purchasing new materials, and reduces the amount of waste sent to landfill by re-using old products.

The Walled Garden was the first project managed by PKAVS (Perth & Kinross Association Of Voluntary Service Ltd.) set up in August 1993. The project aims to help people with mental health problems who would benefit from work experience and are interested in gardening.
The Walled Garden Provides a variety of therapeutic activities and employment training opportunities for people with enduring Mental Health problems who are living in the community. A range of commercial enterprises are being progressively being developed including Garden Centre sales of flowers, fruit and vegetables and a Garden Services landscaping service working externally in the Community.
