Waste & Resources Action Programme logo To help you make your own compost Perth & Kinross Council together with the Waste & Resources Action Progamme provide compost bins throughout Perth and Kinross for a small charge.

Compost is produced when your garden and kitchen waste is broken down in the presence of air. It can then be used as Mulch, Soil Conditioner, Lawn Conditioner or Seed and potting mix.

All bins come with a home composting guide and a 5 litre kitchen caddy (pictured below) for compostable food waste.

Kitchen Caddies and Liners

Kitchen caddies come in a range of sizes and cost between £5-£10. Liners (a roll of 52, made from GM-free starch which are fully biodegradable) are available from £5.
