Recycling Point at Tesco, Crieff Road, Perth

Tesco have recently introduced their own state of the art recycling facility. In addition to the usual bells and containers, Tesco are operating a 'reverse vending' machine that actually rewards you with Green Clubcard Points when you recycle. The machine can accept steel and aluminium food and drinks cans, glass bottles and all types of rigid plastic, including bottles, punnets and yoghurt cartons. For further information, visit Tesco's website. The facility is located in the store's carpark.

Frequently asked questions

When can you use your local Recycling Point?

Many of the Recycling Points are open all the time but please check with your local site and be considerate of local residents especially when recycling glass.

How can I find out more information about my local Recycling Point?

At the points you will also find community information boards where we aim to provide you with waste and recycling information relevant to your local area.

Who do I contact if there is a problem with my local Recycling Point?

The Recycling Points are un-manned and as such, on occasions, we may rely on you to tell us when the points require servicing, particularly if there has been unusually high usage.

If you arrive at a point and you find any of the containers full, you can submit a request online for the recycling bank / unit to be emptied.  We aim to empty the bank/unit within 3 working days of receiving your request.

If the recycling point does not meet your expectations, please contact us on 01738 476476 or email recycle@pkc.gov.uk.

Future developments to Recycling Points

Over the next few years we will be establishing a number of new Recycling Points.

If you or your local community group have identified a location for a recycling point please contact us and we will work with you to take your suggestion through the site assessment and planning application process.

To express your interest, in the first instance, please contact us and ask for a Community Waste Advisor.
