Furniture
Furniture and other unwanted domestic items can be taken to any
Recycling Centre. Wooden furniture can be
recycled in the timber/wood container. To have any heavy or
bulky items removed, a
Special Uplift can be requested.
Where to Donate Furniture?
There's a growing demand for second-hand furniture both for
financial reasons and because of the environmental benefits of
reusing and recycling.
Unwanted, good quality furniture could be used by someone else -
extending the furniture's life and helping the community. Visit the
Charity Map to find your nearest option. You
can also donate to the Reuse Container at Friarton Recycling Centre
in Perth.
Why Donate Furniture?
- It helps your local community
- It saves resources
- It reduces the amount of landfill
Why Cannot Charities Accept All Furniture?
Charities and Reuse Organisations have limited space and cannot
accept everything because of the Health & Safety regulations
they have to follow. Please check with the organisation you wish to
donate to before making your donation.
