Car batteries and Engine Oil are two types of waste deemed as hazardous and as such have to be stored in special containers.
Where can I take old car batteries?
Car batteries can be taken to all Recycling Centres in Perth and Kinross free of charge.
Where can I take unwanted engine oil?
Unwanted or old engine oil can be taken to all Recycling Centres with the exception of Bankfoot.

Car batteries are collected by a licensed contractor, lead and plastic are reclaimed for use in new batteries

Engine oil is collected by the OSS Group from Recycling Centres throughout the region where it is treated through various processes to produce a recycled fuel.
