Waste and Recycling

Perth & Kinross Council's Waste Services has a direct involvement with virtually every person and household in Perth & Kinross.  The current waste and recycling collection services that are offered to residents means that over 3 million bins are uplifted each year from virtually every house in the area. Street sweeping teams also ensure the cleanliness of hundreds of miles of roads and streets that we walk or drive on each day.

National Spring Clean 2010

National Spring Clean 2010 takes place in April each year and Perth & Kinross Council are encouraging community groups, schools and other organisations to get together to carry out clean ups and litter picks in their local area.

Waste Education Resource Pack for Schools

In a joint initiative between the Environment Service and Education and Childcare Services, Perth & Kinross Council has developed a Waste Awareness Resource Pack for schools. The pack is available in PDF format to download.

Waste Aware Photography Competition

Keep Scotland Beautiful and Rotary International in Scotland invite you to get snapping for their Young Photographer Competition 2010. The theme is 'Are we waste aware?'
