Recycling for Schools

All schools in Perth and Kinross can be provided with recycling containers for both paper and cardboard (dependant on space at the school).

For further information please contact the Environment Service Helpline.

Schools are large producers of waste and as such have the potential to reduce, reuse and recycle much of their waste.  Some ideas include:

  • composting
  • using both sides of the paper before putting it in the paper bin
  • reusing text books
  • reuse of materials for art classes
  • asking suppliers to take back packaging
  • recycling cans
  • recycling aluminium foil
  • recycling ink cartridges
  • recycling or donating old clothing
  • recycling or donating mobile phones
  • use rechargeable batteries

For a fuller list of outlets for ink cartridges and mobile phones please visit Envocare.
