1. Ballathie Country Kitchen

Ballathie Estate, Kinclaven, Stanley PH1 4QN

http://www.ballathiecountrykitchen.com/

Ballathie Estate has been in the ownership of the Milligan family since 1998. In the ten years since they took over they have transformed the estate into a thriving business built on sound environmental beliefs. Conservation is very high on the agenda.

Ballathie has its own herd of Aberdeen Angus that is gaining respect in the pedigree and commercial cattle market. Recent additions to the estate are a herd of Tamworth and Saddleback pigs. These are free-range animals that are fed on a natural diet with only the minimum of supplements. No growth hormones are used and they are allowed to develop at a natural pace.

2006 saw the launch of Ballathie Country Kitchen and Courtyard Café. The Country Kitchens purpose is to allow the estate to retail its own beef, pork and game products directly to the consumer. Other complimentary products including fine cheeses, home cured meats and wines are available. Most of the meals from the Courtyard Café are available as ready meals for those moments when convenience is required.

Open Tuesday – Sunday from 09h30.

3. Provender Brown Delicatessen

23 George Street, Perth PH1 5JY
01738 587300.    info@provenderbrown.co.uk
http://www.provenderbrown.co.uk/

What is Provender Brown? Provender means "food" - and that is exactly what we are about. We are an independently owned fine food delicatessen, stocking the very best of farmhouse cheeses, traditionally cured hams, artisan salamis, hand selected olives, traditionally smoked salmon, hand made preserves…and so the list goes on!

Our philosophy is all to do with quality, provenance and passion. We want to offer you the best and to do that we need to know where our products have come from and how they have been made. That is why we have spent many months rooting out small-scale producers from all across the UK and beyond. These are people who are passionate about the food they produce, often using recipes and techniques passed down through their families for generations. These are organisations where the person who takes our telephone order may well have been involved in picking the apples for the fruit juice or tending the bees which produce the honey, which eventually end up on our shelves. We do stock produce from larger producers but it is these wonderful artisans who are at the heart of what we do.

Open Monday – Saturday, 09h00 - 17h30.

4. 63 Tay Street Restaurant

63 Tay Street, Perth PH2 8NN
01738 441451.     info@63taystreet.com
http://www.63taystreet.com/

63 Tay Street Restaurant is situated in the heart of historic Perth adjacent to the River Tay which passes through the town.

63 Tay Street is a first venture for Graeme Pallister, an award-winning chef whose local roots have led him to work previously in renowned local restaurants after time spent in Southern England and Jersey. The restaurant by day is light and airy with a contemporary feel to the space. In the evenings for dinner the atmosphere is relaxed and sophisticated.

Restaurant dining is provided 5 days a week Tuesday to Saturday, with the ability to hire the restaurant for private functions on a Sunday or Monday. We use produce sourced both locally and from fine suppliers a little further afield combined with a strong emphasis on seasonality. The wine list is extensive and features many new world wines and fair amount of older classics. Many of the wines are sourced from small producers with limited output.

Open Tuesday – Saturday for lunch and dinner.
