Perthshire Breakfast
Travel around Perthshire and you'll soon notice that it is a
favoured place. Its lush fields edged by woods, its straths, rivers
and upland grazings all create a sense of well being in the
landscape. And proof of this is in the sheer variety of quality
produce that originates here.
From outstanding raspberries and mouth-watering soft fruit to fresh
free range eggs and honey from hills and blossom. From top quality
beef, lamb and game to wild boar, succulent venison and an array of
vegetables, Perthshire is unbeatable.
A Perthshire Breakfast makes the most of this
natural bounty and consists of at least 50% Perthshire
produce - a delicious and memorable start to the day.
Several businesses in Perthshire are taking part in a new
initiative and are shining a spotlight on our fabulous Perthshire
produce by offering their guests a Perthshire
Breakfast.
Perthshire Breakfasts are as individual as the
businesses themselves. They reflect the creativity and culinary
flair of the owners, the changing of the seasons and the diversity
of quality ingredients found in Perthshire, the green heart of
Scotland.

At Fernbank House we pride ourselves in using local
produce.
Our eggs, honey and meat all come from my husband's butcher's shop,
the Award winning Macdonald Brothers Butcher and Delicatessen, in
nearby Pitlochry. The haggis, black pudding and variety of
sausages (plain pork, spicy pork and mustard, pork, leek and
ginger, steak, Lorne, lamb and basil) are all made by my husband
Rory, using recipes handed down through the generations of
Macdonald Butchers.
Local fruit is on offer when in season and home-made granola, made
by Annette is Gluten Free. Gluten Free bread and sausages
available at all times.
Lastly don't miss our porridge, using cream and Edradour whisky; we
have been told on many occasions "it is to die for".
