Social care and health

As a Council, we have a responsibility to support, protect and care for people in our community.  Across Perth and Kinross we have residents with a wide range of health and social care needs.  These include families in crisis, young offenders, elderly people struggling to live independently, or children in need of the care and support of foster carers.

Improving the quality of life for all our residents is a key priority for Perth & Kinross Council.

Here you can find out about the social care services we provide, as well as information on health matters.

Child Protection

As a Council we are working closely with our partners in the Police, Health and Voluntary Sectors to ensure that children get the help when they need it, and that everyone understands that Child Protection is everyone's responsibility.

Community Crèches

Find out about creches in the Perth and Kinross area which are staffed by Play Start, providing two hours of quality childcare with no charge. Giving parents the opportunity of time for themselves, or to stay and talk to fellow parents.

Domestic abuse

If you are experiencing domestic abuse remember you are not alone. There are people who can help you.
