Employment Support
The Employment Support Team offers programmes of employability
related support to people with mental health difficulties, learning
disabilities, and autistic spectrum conditions to prepare for, find
and maintain employment.
The Employment Support Team has clear Operational Guidance and
Process Maps, these are presented and shared with all partners and
referring agencies. The team supports individuals using a person
centred approach with:
- Pre Work Preparation Skills
- Work Experience
- Job Matching through Vocational Profiling and Person Centred
Tools
- Applying for Jobs
- Preparation for Interviews
- Job Coaching
- Independent Travel
- Paid Work (Part and Full Time)
- Voluntary Work
While in work, ongoing support will be offered to the individual
and the employer in the form of reviewing and monitoring.
The team will also work in partnership with other employability
organisations and potential employers to break down barriers of
stigma and discrimination and to widen the local job market for
people with a Learning Disability.
