Local Children Need You
At any one time in Perth and Kinross 70 children and young people
are looked after by foster carers. These children and young
people have often had difficult family experiences involving drug
and alcohol misuse, mental health issues, relationship breakdown or
violence. They need carers who can offer them a stable family
experience and lots of fun.
Other children and young people need carers that can offer respite
to their families which allows them to remain at home.
No formal qualifications are required, but qualities such as
patience, understanding and a good sense of humour are
essential.
