Adult Support and Protection
Perth & Kinross Council in partnership with NHS, Police,
private and voluntary sector, is committed to ensuring that adults
at risk in Perth and Kinross are protected from harm.
On these pages you can find information about what to do if you
have concerns and where to find more information about support and
protection.
Adults may be at risk of harm because:
- mental illness,
- old age,
- frailty or physical weakness,
- physical or learning disability,
- visual or hearing impairment.
Harm may be physical, emotional, sexual, financial or caused by
neglect.
What to do if you have concerns?
You may see and hear things that make you worry about an adult's
welfare and safety. It is everyone's responsibility to ensure
people are not being harmed.
To report any concerns contact 0845 3011120 which is
available 24 hours a day, or talk to a social worker, home care
worker, nurse, doctor or police officer.
