Services For Older People

We provide a range of services to help older people to live a comfortable life, and remain living in their own home for as long as possible.

Older people have told us that they want to be able to receive support services in their own homes, or local communities, and we are able to offer a range of ways for people to do that. If you think than any of these services would help you, or someone you care for, please contact the Community Care Access Team on 0845 30 111 20 or by email at AccessTeam@pkc.gov.uk

Meals

Our delivered meals service means that nutritious meals are delivered directly to someone's door. This is available right across the Perth and Kinross area.

Reablement

The reablement service helps people to regain or develop independence, enabling them to undertake tasks around the home.

Home Care

Our mainstream home care service provides regular support to people in their homes to assist them with everyday activities.

Telecare

Telecare, incorporating community alarm, provides peace of mind for individuals and their families by providing a 24-hour response service.

Day Care

Day services for older people help maintain vital social links in the local community.

We also recognise that staying at home isn't a suitable option for everyone. The Council runs three residential homes, and works closely with other homes in the area for people who need this level of support.
