Care Homes
The Council provides a whole range of services which aim to support the residents of Perth & Kinross when moving onto a residential or nursing home setting. Older people are covered by our Adult Support and Protection Guidance.
Included in this are Beechgrove House, Parkdale and Dalweem which are council owned and provide residential based care for the elderly in the area. Information on both is available to download.
From 9 April 2009 the standard weekly charge for residential care within one of the Council's care homes will be £580.90. The amount you will have to pay towards this will depend on the results of your financial assessment.
A financial assessment is carried out for everyone who is assessed as needing to move in to a care home, whether for a short stay or a longer term move. Scottish Care in partnership with private and voluntary care home representatives have developed a website which covers all Scottish Care linked homes in the area.
