Parking for those with disabilities

Dedicated bays for Blue Badge holders are provided in many locations both on-street and in car parks. In addition vehicles displaying a Blue Badge can be parked in any Council parking bay, either on-street or in a car park, without limit of time and free of charge.  Locations of disabled bays in central Perth can be viewed in the Perth Parking Guide in the downloads section of this page.

Disabled parking in the Perth pedestrianised zone

Between 4pm and 11am Blue Badge holders may enter the Zone and park on-street for up to one hour, provided they do not park where they are likely to cause an obstruction to other vehicles.  In particular, parking is not allowed on High Street between George Street and Kirkgate. 

Shopmobility

Perth Shopmobility operates from the Canal Street multi storey car park in the centre of town. Electric buggies and wheelchairs are available for anyone with a mobility problem, not only Blue Badge holders to help them access the Pedestrian Zone.  Tele 01738 783960.

Disabled People - Parking Permits (Blue Badges Holders)

If you have severe walking difficulties and travel either as a passenger or driver in a vehicle you may be entitled to a Blue Badge to allow you to take advantage of certain parking concessions.

Disabled people - Residential Bays for Blue Badge Holders.

If you have a Blue Badge and are experiencing parking difficulties at your home you can apply for a parking bay to be marked on the road in front of your property. 

However, certain conditions must be fulfilled and even if approved these bays are only advisory and can not be legally enforced.
