Transport Scotland is the new national transport agency for Scotland. It is directly accountable to Scottish Ministers and is part of the Scottish Executive's Enterprise, Transport and Lifelong Learning Department. The Chief Executive is directly accountable to the Transport Minister.
Amongst a range of duties, Transport Scotland is responsible for setting up, managing and funding the Scotland-wide Free Bus Travel Scheme for Older and Disabled People.
