Proof of Residence

You must be a resident of Scotland and will be required to provide one of the following forms of evidence for verification purposes. Your name and a Scottish residential address must be clearly stated on the document:
· Council Tax Bill (from the current financial year)
· Recent Utilities Bill (e.g. gas, electricity, landline telephone bill) – issued in the last 3 months
· Recent Bank Statement – issued in the last 3 months (‘Care of’ addresses on the bank statement are not sufficient)
· UK Driving licence
· Television Licence stating address and applicants name
· Letter from care or residential home clearly stating the name of the individual and the period of time they have been resident in the home.
· Letter from local authority confirming that the applicant is resident at an address within that Council area.
Where the applicant is a child - Child Benefit award letter stating the child’s name and address the child is resident at.
