Operational problems

In the event of a breakdown, accident or transport becoming
immobilised, pupils will be instructed to stay in the vehicle until
alternative transport can be organised. Where it is deemed
dangerous to remain in the vehicle, the pupils will be guided by
the driver/escort to a safe place and pupils must remain here and
not attempt to walk to school/home.
In adverse weather conditions the driver will use their
discretion as to whether a road is passable or not. Parents can
help operators by notifying them of adverse conditions in their
area.
All drivers have access to mobile phones or similar to maintain
contact with their base, the school(s), the Public Transport Unit
and parents.
