Road Safety - Driver-Rider Training
Pass Plus
Pass Plus is a national, voluntary new-driver training
initiative promoted by the Driving Standards Agency. It
comprises a minimum of six extra driving sessions with approved
Driving Instructors, to give experience of driving at night, on
motorways, in all weather conditions and over longer
distances.
Perth & Kinross Council currently subsidises 50% of the cost of
the training, which is implemented by the local Driving
Instructors.

Bike Plus
Bike Plus is a post-test rider development programme developed
by Perth & Kinross Council and implemented by the two riding
instructors operating within the Council area.
The scheme is open to all riders and consists of a one-day course
available split between a morning of theory and an afternoon of
practical, on-road, bike to bike instruction with a qualified
instructor.
The Council currently subsidises 50% of the cost of the
