Roads and pavements - adverse weather plans
Last updated | 29/11/2007
During adverse weather conditions, such as flooding, snow and ice, the Council has a key role to advise, support and protect.
Excessive rain or melting snow can bring the threat of flooding but various organisations are there to help. You can view advice on how to protect your property and land, guidance on the roles and responsibilities of the different organisations and links to key websites.
In the winter months, the Council's gritting and snow clearing services are on constant alert monitoring weather reports to ensure they are ready to clear ice and snow on more than 2,500 km of local roads in Perth and Kinross.
Find out which roads and pavements are gritted, how often they are gritted and advice for winter driving.
