Technology Enabled Care Smart Flat Open Day

As part of the Scottish Digital Health and Care week, Perth & Kinross Health & Social Care Partnership are pleased to announce that there will be an "Open Day" at the Technology Enabled Care (TEC) SmartFlat in Perth from 10:30am to 3pm on Friday 24 November.

On display at the TEC SmartFlat is a wide-range of telecare equipment - such as pendant alarms, falls monitors, smoke detectors, door contacts and bed sensors - that can support individuals to increase their independence and/ or stay at home for longer. At the same time telecare equipment provides reassurance to individuals and their family that their wellbeing is constantly monitored and that help will arrive quickly when necessary.  In Perth and Kinross, staff are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to respond appropriately to any alerts received from telecare equipment installed in people's homes.

Examples of those who could benefit from support from the Perth & Kinross Telecare Service include:

  • If you have an illness, are frail, or have a disability which limits your ability to stay at home;

  • If you have been in or are leaving hospital and require extra support;

  • If you have someone caring for you, and your carer needs additional support.

To find out more about how telecare equipment could support you or someone you care for in their own home please come along to our SmartFlat "Open Day" on 24 November, and a member of the team will be more than happy to assist with any queries you may have.

The TEC SmartFlat is located within the Community Alarms Department at Beechgrove House, Perth, PH1 1DL. Members of the public with any questions regarding the SmartFlat Open Day should please call 01738 476262 or 475066, or email TEC@pkc.gov.uk.
