Changes to bin collection services
The Council would like to remind householders and businesses there will be changes to bin collection services on the New Year Bank Holidays.
On 1st and 2nd January 2018 there will be no kerbside bin collections, with normal collections resuming on 3rd January.
Unless written to directly, householders scheduled to have their green or blue bins emptied on 1st January will instead have their bins emptied on 30th December. Those scheduled to have their green or blue bins emptied on 2nd of January will instead have their bins emptied on 3rd January.
There will be no brown bin collections, with normal collections resuming on 6th January.
Businesses that were due to receive kerbside collections on the New Year Bank Holidays will be notified by letter of changes to their collections.
Householders are also reminded that the Council does not collect excess waste from the kerbside. All waste types should only be presented for collection inside a wheeled bin with the lid closed by 7.30am on the day of collection. If householders do have excess waste, Recycling Centres are open over the remainder of the festive period.
