Consultation on review of Licensing Policy Statement
Perth & Kinross Licensing Board is carrying out a public consultation as part of a review of its Licensing Policy Statement.
The Board is required under the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 to prepare and publish a Licensing Policy Statement which the Board must have regard to when exercising their functions under that Act. It is now undertaking a review in order to prepare and publish its fourth Policy Statement. Once finalised, the Policy Statement will have effect until 4 November 2023.
Draft policy statement
The Board would welcome a response from any interested parties on the Draft Policy Statement. The draft policy statement together with the supporting document, Environmental Health Review of Noise is available online on the Licences and permits section of the website. If you do not have internet access, please contact us to request a hard copy of the Statement.
The consultation takes place between 8 June 2018 and 17 August 2018. Comments must be submitted by Friday 17 August 2018 as follows:

Policies promoting licensing objectives
Perth & Kinross Licensing Board Convenor Councillor Kathleen Baird commented: "All licensing boards must publish a statement of licensing policy.
Boards are required to ensure that its policies promote the licensing objectives which are: Preventing crime and disorder; Securing public safety; Preventing public nuisance; Protecting and improving public health; and protecting children and young persons from harm.
The Draft Policy Statement covers a wide range of issues such as the hours for licensed premises. Perth and Kinross Licensing Board would like to hear from any interested party on possible changes to its existing Policy."
No decisions have been taken
At this stage the Board is consulting on the Draft Policy Statement. No decisions have been taken. After the conclusion of the consultation period a report will be prepared for submission to the Board for a decision on the final Statement to be taken.
