Strathearn & Strathallan Action Partnership offering Community Councils funding to address local inequalities

Strathearn & Strathallan Action Partnership is inviting Community Councils within its area who are looking to tackle identified local issues to get in touch about funding for community-led projects.

The nine Community Councils covered by the Action Partnership (i.e. Crieff, Comrie, St Fillans, Muthill & Tullibardine, East Strathearn, Auchterarder, Blackford, Dunning and Braco & Greenloaning) will each have a funding pot of up to £2,500 during 2018 to distribute to community groups to pay for, or help towards the costs of, projects that will:

  • address local inequalities (as identified in the Local Action Plan);
  • benefit as many people as possible from across the community; and
  • involve people who would otherwise not get involved in the local community

Applications are now open for project funding, and the Community Councils and Action Partnership will consider requests and agree projects that meet the criteria detailed above. Groups whose bids are successful will be required to report back to their local Community Council and the Action Partnership about what was delivered, 12 months after the payment was made. All funding provided must be spent by 31 March 2020.

Groups and Community Councils may wish to work together with other local organisations to deliver their proposed projects. In these circumstances, applications for funding should state who the partners will be, and what the other organisations will do on the project(s).

Application forms, further information and support are available to Community Councils by contacting Perth & Kinross Council's Community Planning Policy Team on 01738 477834 or via email to CommunityPlanningPartnership@pkc.gov.uk.
