Summer activities for children and families

Perth & Kinross Council's Childcare and Family Information Service has compiled a booklet detailing exciting activities and events for children and families during the summer holidays. Both indoor and outdoor opportunities are on offer, covering a wide range of interests (and weather forecasts!)

Wraparound Care Services, three Kids Clubs and the Live Active Holiday Hero Camps run over the whole six week holiday period. Some other out of school services and programmes such as the Activity Camp at Perth College, Circus School, Art Camp, Adventure Weeks @ Willowgate, Glens Adventure Weeks in Crieff, Young Designers Summer School and events at Pitlochry Festival Theatre offer multiple days or full weeks.

There is also a huge variety of single-day and part-day options including events at the Black Watch Museum, activities at Wild Sparks in Alyth & Dunkeld, Wee Adventures in Aberfeldy, activities at Comrie Croft as well as Live Active sports camps, adventure camps and fun sessions.  Kids Week in Crieff also offers a wide range of individual events.

While there is a charge for most activities, there are also various free events including Summer Kids Workshops at St John's Shopping Centre; Time2Play sessions in Aberfeldy, Crieff, Kinross, Perth and Rattray; RSPB activities at Quarrymill.  Download the Summer Activities booklet from www.pkc.gov.uk/hellosummer for full details of what is on offer across Perth and Kinross this summer.
