Council's Community Alarm Team receive national recognition for high quality service provision
Perth & Kinross Council's Community Alarm Team has been awarded an accolade from the Technology Enabled Care (TEC) Services Association for meeting their Quality Standards Framework (QSF).
Perth & Kinross Council is one of only six organisations in Scotland to be compliant with the Standards which is a great achievement and reflects the high quality service practiced and delivered by the team.
Being accredited to the QSF gives employees confidence and recognition in their role and it is envisaged that achieving QSF accreditation will raise the profile and improve visibility of the service at a strategic level.
The recognition means that service users can be assured that the service they are receiving from Perth & Kinross Council meets the standard of excellence and quality of service they would expect. It is also aligned with the Council's principles of customer centred care and support aimed at delivering high quality services through engaged and empowered staff.
Chief Executive of Perth & Kinross Council, Karen Reid, presenting the accolade, said: " I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the Team on this fantastic achievement. The QSF values service user involvement, outcomes and safety meaning that the service provided by Perth & Kinross Council has been inspected on its worth to the service user, their families and carers in the local area and is now recognised as a sector leader."
