Supplementary guidance - Landscape
This page gives you information on the review of Special Landscape Areas in Perth and Kinross
It has been produced to include the review and update of Local Landscape Designations in Perth and Kinross into the Council's planning policy framework. It also provides further advice on the implementation of Local Development Policy ER6: Managing Future Landscape Change to Conserve and Enhance the Diversity and Quality of the Area's Landscapes within the 11 Special Landscape Areas, and will help to bring forward land management initiatives to protect and enhance these areas. This is the Landscape Methodology [524Kb] the Council used to review and update the Local Landscape Designations.
Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA)
As part of the process we have to consult SNH, SEPA and Historic Scotland on whether the plan, programme or strategy is likely to raise issues of significant environmental impact.
We sent our Screening Report [289Kb] to the consultation authorities to determine whether the supplementary guidance is likely to have significant effects on the environment on 5 June 2014. You can also view the responses from the consultation authorities:
- Screening Response - Historic Scotland [57Kb]
- Screening Response - SEPA [132Kb]
- Screening Response - SNH [116Kb]
Having consulted the three consultation authorities, and having considered the criteria set out in the Act, the Council considered that the Local Landscape Areas Supplementary Guidance is unlikely to have significant environmental effects and has therefore decided that SEA is not required. You can also view the Screening Determination [313Kb].
