Changes to North Locality Housing Team services
Our North Locality Housing Team are changing the way they work from Monday 9th October 2017.
The team will continue to deliver the same high standard of service and customer-focused approach, but just in a different way.
The changes reflect the feedback from you, our tenants, about the need to increase the amount of face-to-face contact with your housing teams out in your communities and in your homes.
At present our office in Aberfeldy is open two days a week, but an average of just eight tenants per week choose to access the service in this way. In addition to this, our Pitlochry office is open five days per week with a total of three full-time staff. The number of customers accessing the office averages around 50 per week, however less than 50% of these are housing related enquiries.
What are the new arrangements?
You will still be able to meet your local housing staff at the Community Campus. However this will be on a pre-arranged appointment basis and at a time to suit you throughout the week, as opposed to the current arrangement of two days per week. This change, together with the plans for Pitlochry, will allow us to offer a much more customer-focussed approach by freeing up our staff to deliver services on a face-to-face basis instead of from an office environment.
The opening hours of the office will change to Monday, Tuesday and Friday, 8.45am - 5.00pm, and it will be closed for lunch between 12.30 - 1.30pm. On a Wednesday and Thursday you will still be able to speak to an experienced member of the North Locality Housing Team using a dedicated phone within the reception area. Staff will be able to deal with your enquiry directly or arrange an appointment for you with a Housing Assistant or a Housing Officer either in the office or in your own home.
