Supplementary guidance - Placemaking
**Consultation has now closed**
The Draft Placemaking Supplementary Guidance was consulted upon between 13 July 2017 and 31 August 2017. The Council will now consider the responses received before presenting the next Draft to Committee for approval.
The purpose of the guidance is to give advice as to how development can comply under the terms of the Local Development Plan Policy PM1: Placemaking. View the draft Placemaking Guide July 2017 [3Mb].
Strategic Environmental Assessment
As part of the process we have to consult SNH, SEPA and Historic Scotland on whether the plan, programme or strategy is likely to raise issues of significant environmental impact. Schedule 2 of the Environmental Assessment Act sets out criteria for determining the likely significant effects on the environment.
We sent our Screening Report [111Kb] for the draft Placemaking Supplementary Guidance to the consultation authorities to determine whether the Guidance is likely to have effects on the environment on 30th June 2017. You can view the response from the Consultation Authorities below:
Having consulted the three Consultation Authorities, and having considered the criteria set out in the Act, the Council considered that the Placemaking Supplementary Guidance is unlikely to have significant environmental effects and has therefore decided that SEA is not required. You can also view the Screening Determination Letter [26Kb].
The consultation for the draft Placemaking Guidance has now closed. Comments are being considered by the Council before presenting the next Draft Guide to Committee for approval.
