Since 2012, housing staff and tenants have worked together to scrutinise the standard of housing services provided.

In 2014, icon Terms of Reference [201Kb] for the Service User Review and Evaluation (SURE) Team were agreed.

Appointment of SURE Team members

In Spring 2014, the newly-founded SURE Team were supported by the Tenant Information Service (TIS) to interview and appoint 12 tenants and service users to the SURE Team.

The SURE Team's first task in summer 2014 was to use a competitive tender process to appoint PS Consultants as the Independent Adviser to the SURE Team for three years. This contract was advertised again in July 2017. PS Consultants was re-appointed.

What the SURE Team has done

Since September 2014, the SURE team has completed six full scrutiny exercises and, for the last four years, the Team has carried out an annual assessment to grade the performance of the Housing Service based on the Scottish Social Housing Charter outcomes.

Current SURE Team

The SURE Team currently consists of five members. The SURE Team wants other tenants and service users who are interested in helping to improve the Housing Service to become involved.
