Better lives in older age
A local service improvement programme for people growing older with a learning disability and their families.
Better Lives in Older Age - for people growing older with a learning disability and their families refers to a local service improvement programme that will progress through 2015 and be complete by May 2016
The purpose of this initiative is to develop specialist services and effective support for a growing number of older adults with a learning disability and their families and carers. One of the key actions in this programme is to gather information about the particular needs of this group, that will help shape good quality services and enable people to live independently and safely in their own home, or in a homely setting, for as long as possible.
