The keys to life strategy group
This is the current improvement plan for Learning Disability Services in Perth and Kinross.
The Joint Strategy for Learning Disability Services 2012-2015 [660Kb] was approved by the Perth and Kinross Community Health Partnership Board and the Perth & Kinross Council Housing and Health Committee in August 2012.
In September 2012, an Implementation Group [388Kb] was set up to oversee and progress the Improvement Plan in the Strategy. This group has links with service users, families, carers and a wide range of services that support people with a learning disability. In March 2014, a mid-term report [1Mb] on progress was presented to the Housing and Health Committee. These main service improvements and new developments are summarised in this newsletter from April 2014 [893Kb]. In March 2015, the process of evaluating and reporting on the outcomes achieved through the Strategy will commence. A new Strategy for 2015-2018 will be produced in collaboration with all stakeholders throughout the Summer of 2015.
The Keys to Life
This is the ten year national strategy produced by the Scottish Government. It is a long term improvement plan that seeks to improve the quality of life for people with a learning disability, incorporating a strong focus on human rights and health improvement.
In Perth and Kinross, the Implementation Group has drafted a Local Delivery Plan for taking forward the 52 recommendations contained in the Keys to Life. This plan will form a large part of the new local Strategy for the period of 2015 to 2018.
