Agency BriefSupported by Gannochy Trust and European Social (challenge) Fund SCYD offers a person a centred approach to removing barriers to Employment Training and Education whilst working with 16-25 year olds on their soft skills, confidence and life skills. SCYD also support international groups and other youth projects for ages 11 to 25. We also welcome mature volunteers.

Programmes offeredWe work closely with Skills Development Scotland (SDS), Blairgowrie high school and other partner agencies who are able to support individuals throughout the pipeline. We also engage with local employers to offer job opportunity to support Pre-NEET's ahead of leaving school.

ReferralSCYD runs as a drop in - so self referral or through partner agencies

Stages Covered

Stage 1 Referral/Engagement Activity - Examples of this is early engagement activity, identification of client need and development of an action plan.

Stage 2 Barrier Removal - Examples of this is barrier removal activities and confidence building, support to develop core skills such as numeracy and literacy, holistic activities linked to individual needs and employability skills.
