Views sought on food growing strategy

Perth and Kinross Council is inviting groups and individuals interested in food growing to respond to a short survey which will inform the emerging Food Growing Strategy.

Plans to improve public space CCTV provision in Perth - your views wanted

Plans to improve Perth & Kinross Council's CCTV system, via a digital upgrade, are set to move forward in the coming weeks. As part of the project, the Council is seeking comment about CCTV provision from members of the public, organisations and businesses.

Resurfacing work on A93 Glasgow Road, Perth

Starting on Sunday 20 October 2019, the Council will be carrying out essential resurfacing works on a section of the A93 Glasgow Road in Perth.

Pre-Application Consultation Event: Proposals for Perth High School

Public consultation on a forthcoming Planning Application to be submitted to Perth & Kinross Council Development Management by NORR Architects, agent for the Applicant, Perth & Kinross Council. Proposal: Erection of a replacement school and formation of playground areas, sports pitches, parking areas, landscaping and associated works at Perth High School, Oakbank Road, Perth PH1 1HB.

Free Festive Parking

At the next meeting of the Council's Environment & Infrastructure Committee, Elected Members will be asked to consider proposals for free parking in Council operated car parks on Saturdays in the run up to Festive season during 2019 and 2020.

Star Studded line up for 2019 Perth Christmas Lights Switch-On

The countdown to Christmas will well and truly be underway from Saturday, November 16th and Sunday November 17th with the 2019 Perth Christmas Light Switch-On, the Perth Festive Feast and the Chocolate, Gin and all Things market.

'I'll Do It' - Bertha Park High School hosts community CPR training event

In one day (Thursday 31 October 2019), over 300 pupils from Primary 7 to S2 at Bertha Park High School and its associated primary schools will undergo CPR training from emergency care professionals in restarting a heart, helping them to be prepared to potentially save lives.

Policy and guidelines for early learning and childcare admissions updated

A report to the next Lifelong Learning Committee on Wednesday 6 November 2019 will present for Councillors' approval an updated admissions policy and guidelines for early learning and childcare (ELC) settings from 2020/21, in line with the Scottish Government's expansion of funded ELC provision from 600 to 1140 hours which comes into effect from August 2020.
