As part of the `Perthshire Welcomes the 2019 Solheim Cup` initiative, Perth & Kinross Council is making it's target golf inflatable play equipment, and mini golf equipment available, free of charge, to community groups throughout the summer to celebrate such a major women's sporting event being hosted in Perth and Kinross
Community based activities
This offer is open to community-based activities such as gala days and local events. The facilities will not be available for commercial activities such as local businesses and it is a fixed condition of the free hire offer that the public will not be charged to use the inflatables or mini putting facilities.
Community groups can request hire of some or all of the equipment. The Golf Inflatables, (Lots 1 and 2 pictured), require a suitable 13 amp power source which will not be provided ,and event organisers should be prepared to provide this.
The mini golf, (Lot 3 pictured), does not require any electrical connections, however an area of flat ground is needed for any of the equipment items. Golf clubs and golf balls will be provided with the equipment.
|Lot 1 - Target golf inflatable||Lot 2 - Golf driving inflatable||Lot 3 - Nine hole mini-golf|
Bookings for the equipment will be accepted on a 'first come first served' basis, and can be made by contacting the Council`s Housing and Environment Service on 01738 475209 or emailing email@example.com.
Once the booking has been confirmed, the equipment will be brought to the event site and will be set up and run by Council - appointed staff, who will then dismantle and remove it at the conclusion of the event. Funding for this free service will be provided by the Council`s Solheim Cup Community Fund. Therefore all that community groups need to do is book up , and give us some details of your activity, where and when the event is, and who is making the booking. We will do the rest!
The ethos of the Solheim Cup is for the event at Gleneagles to be inclusive and family-oriented, explicitly welcoming and valuing young people. This commitment is backed up by making entry tickets free for all children and young people 16 and under, who are accompanied by a paying adult. There will be a large-scale family activity zone onsite for the duration of the event. For tickets to the Solheim Cup itself visit the Perth City website: www.perthcity.co.uk/solheim-cup-2019/
