The Council's Brexit preparations

The Council has continued to consider the implications of Brexit including a no-deal Brexit. Our Brexit Preparedness Assessment was updated at the Executive Officer Team in September 2020. Brexit is included in our financial planning and Risk Register, and features in discussions with the Tayside Local Resilience Partnership and COSLA.

We are engaging with our partners, providers and our own employees to ensure they have all the necessary advice and support to apply to the EU Settlement Scheme if necessary. We continue to monitor workforce implications and to plan for any scenario.

We have also shared information, including the Prepare for Brexit website and resources developed by the Scottish Government, with local businesses. We monitor key supplies of products and ensure that suppliers have contingency plans in place.
