Positive findings in Inchture Primary School inspection report
Perth & Kinross Council's Lifelong Learning Convener, Councillor Caroline Shiers commented on the findings of an inspection report published on Tuesday 11 February 2020, for Inchture Primary School and Nursery Class.
"Education Scotland's inspection team found much to praise in the work of Inchture Primary School in their December 2019 inspection visit, among which were a number of particular strengths:
- Articulate, kind and confident children who were very proud of their school
- Highly effective leadership from the Headteacher that has put wellbeing at the heart of the school and supported the delivery of successful approaches to inclusion, equality and respect.
- Strong staff teamwork and parental and community support for the school improving children's experiences and learning outcomes
- Changes to the nursery learning environment helping all children make choices and grow their independent learning skills through play.
"This positive assessment is also reflected in the key quality indicators assessing both the school and its nursery class as very good or good. With Inspectors being confident that Inchture Primary School is well placed to continue to improve, the two areas for further attention identified by them, together with the school and Education and Children's Services, will be taken forward and the Council will keep parents and carers informed of progress. My warmest congratulations go to everyone at Inchture Primary School - well done all!"
