Coronavirus: Healthcare and non-healthcare settings
HPS have published guidance for health care workers and those working in a healthcare setting. In line with this, Perth & Kinross Health & Social Care Partnership have instructed their internal day care settings and care homes to limit non-essential visits as a precautionary measure. We are cancelling visits from the local community, eg school groups, and external entertainment. Family members (max 2 at a time), professionals and contractors can continue to visit.
All visitors should be vigilant with regards to their own health, be symptom-free and adhere to our infection control polices so that we can continue to deliver care and support.
HPS guidance for non-healthcare settings and those who work in them has also been published.
All appointments and drop-in sessions at the Council's Smart Flat in Carpenter Court, Perth, have been cancelled until further notice.
Perth & Kinross Health & Social Care Partnership, in consultation with the Council, has decided to step down all day care and day opportunity settings from end of the day on Friday 20 March 2020 until further notice. This decision was taken in line with national guidance on public health and is order to safeguard the health and safety of people who use these services.
There are plans in place to deliver outreach support and the level of support will be determined by individual needs and the level of supports in the community available to individuals. The HSCP will maintain contact with all day care and day opportunity clients and their carers throughout the step down period.
