Flooding in southern Perth and Kinross

There has been heavy snow overnight but in the southern area of Perth & Kinross that has turned to heavy rainfall and caused flooding in a number of areas.

Frozen ground has resulted in surface water runoff, affecting properties in areas including Bankfoot, Blackford, Coupar Angus, Greenloaning, Glenfarg, Kinross and Scone.

The Council's Roads Maintenance Partnership has been dealing with on-going winter maintenance and flooding issues and will support residents where they can. Officers from the Council's flooding team are also on the ground to investigate and help where they can.

The Council's customer service centre can be contacted for assistance during office hours (8.45am to 5pm) on 01738 475000 and the out of hours emergency number is 01738 476476.

As sandbags are in limited supply, we can only provide them to properties that are in imminent danger of being flooded. It may not be possible to provide you with sandbags due to the current level of demand placed on resources. To request sandbags, telephone 01738 476476.
