Moncreiffe Primary School is set to enhance its health and wellbeing learning resources after the Parent Council was awarded a £5,000 grant from Tesco's Stronger Starts Golden Grants initiative.
This generous grant will be used to support healthy food and activities for local school children at Moncreiffe Primary School, fostering a healthier and more active community.
The Stronger Starts Golden Grants programme is designed to provide essential funding to schools and children's groups across the UK, enabling them to promote healthy lifestyles through nutritious food and engaging activities. A customer found the lucky golden token selecting Moncreiffe Parent Council as the lucky winner.
Nicola Murray, Acting Headteacher from Moncreiffe Primary School shared her excitement: "We are thrilled to receive Tesco's £5,000 Golden Coin award! This generous funding will play a vital role in promoting healthy lifestyles among our nursery and school children, as well as enhancing our learning resources.
"As we celebrate our school's 30th anniversary this academic year, we're excited to host a community birthday breakfast, and this funding will help make our festivities even more memorable.
"A heartfelt thank you to the Tesco customer who chose us as the recipient of this incredible award; your contribution will truly make a meaningful impact on our school community. We'd also like to extend our thanks to Grant, the Store Manager at South Street Tesco, for welcoming us to the store and for his support of our school."
