Property Sub-Committee - 6 March 2013
A Meeting of the Property Sub-Committee of the Strategic Policy and Resources Committee will be held in the Committee Room, Fourth Floor, Council Building, 2 High Street, Perth on Wednesday 6 March 2013 at 10.00am.

3. Mill Street, Kinross - Proposed Car Park
At its meeting on 30 January 2013, the Enterprise and Infrastructure Committee considered Report 13/44 by the Executive Director (Environment) on Mill Street, Kinross - Proposed Car Park, asking the Committee to agree to support in principle the creation of a public car park at the site of the former Social Work office building in Mill Street, Kinross and to refer the proposed demolition of the office building and creation of the public car park to the Property Sub-Committee for approval.
Following local representations supporting the retention of the building, the Committee agreed not to support in principle the creation of a public car park on the site of the former Social Work office building in Mill Street, Kinross and to refer the matter to the Property Sub-Committee to consider an alternative use for the building. It was anticipated that a report would be submitted to the Property Sub-Committee for consideration at its meeting on 6 March 2013.
The Head of Legal Services has, however, advised that there are title issues relating to part of the site which may impact on the options available for the future use of the disposal of the site. Accordingly, a report on options for the future of the subjects will be brought to the Property Sub-Committee once the title position has been clarified.
