Ask Alexa

Residents can now 'ask Alexa' to find out the answer to many questions we are commonly asked following the launch of a new MyPKC skill on Amazon Alexa.

The MyPKC skill for Amazon's Alexa allows residents of Perth and Kinross to find out information about services provided by the Council. It provides an alternative to phoning us, coming in to see us or visiting our website.

The skill can be accessed on any Amazon Alexa enabled device and is also available on smart phones using the Amazon Alexa app.

To enable the MyPKC skill on your chosen device just say to Alexa: 'Alexa, enable MyPKC'.

Alexa is able to handle multiple ways of people asking questions in different ways. Always start the question with 'Alexa, Ask MyPKC.....'.

This is our first attempt at creating a skill and it is still in development. We need your help to make it much better.  Let us know what else you would like to ask Alexa by emailing


You can find out a whole range of information from when the Council is open to how to report a faulty streetlight.

Some examples are:

  • How do I apply for a garden waste permit?
  • How do I renew my bus pass?
  • How do I email the Council?
  • Who do I speak to about my Council Tax?
  • What events are on in Perth?
