Coronavirus: Public toilets
All public toilet facilities across Perth and Kinross are open for use. Please note, there will be a change to the opening hours at each location. We will be closing an hour earlier to allow for a deep clean to take place. Opening hours, locations and facilities at each site can be found at our public toilet pages.
Our main priority is to ensure facilities are safe for people to use and they will be closed for a short period of time each hour for inspection and to sanitise facilities and maintain a high level of cleanliness. These temporary closures for cleaning are unavoidable, and we apologise in advance for any inconvenience.
There will be signage in facilities to remind users to wash their hands thoroughly to protect themselves and others. We will also have social distancing measures in place and that may mean users have to queue before entry. Please follow signage and adhere to instructions given by attendants.
Each of our unattended facilities will be deep cleaned daily. As these facilities are not staffed, we are relying on those using them to act responsibly. We are confident that people will do so, allowing us to keep the facilities open, but we will check regularly and respond swiftly if any issues arise. To report any issues with public toilets visit our public toilet pages or call 01738 476476.
Many of our partner comfort schemes which provide additional toilet facilities and are operated by local businesses will be reopening over the coming weeks. Please be aware these businesses may have changes to their operating hours/days and have measures in place to ensure social distancing. We recommend checking these details before setting out to use their facilities. For information on our partner comfort schemes, visit our public toilet pages.
Please remember whether you are using an attended, unattended or comfort scheme facility, please practice social distancing and take sensible hygiene measures.
Please note, Ropemakers Close toilet in Perth has now closed and will not reopen. Closure of this facility was part of a budget saving. The nearest alternative public toilet is located at Marshall Pl (the South Inch Car Park).
