Supplementary guidance - Green infrastructure
The Green Infrastructure Supplementary Guidance will be used to give further advice as to how development can comply with the terms of the Local Development Plan policy NE4: Green Infrastructure. The guidance explains what green infrastructure is, why it is important, and where and how it should be taken into account in the development process.
The Green Infrastructure Supplementary Guidance was adopted in November 2014.
Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA)
As part of the process we have to consult SNH, SEPA and Historic Scotland on whether the plan, programme or strategy is likely to raise issues of significant environmental impact. Having consulted the consultation authorities, and considered the criteria set out in the Act, the Council considered that the Green Infrastructure Supplementary Guidance was unlikely to have significant environmental effects and therefore decided that SEA was not required.
