Draft Conservation Appraisals & Management Plans for Birnam, Dunkeld & Spittalfield
Perth & Kinross Council is required by law to protect conservation areas from development which would be detrimental to their character. A conservation area appraisal for Birnam has been prepared as a management tool that identifies the special interest and changing needs of the conservation area.
The conservation area appraisal is intended to be a guide to the history, architecture and character of the Birnam, Dunkeld & Spittalfield Conservation Area, provide guidance for making sympathetic changes in the area. The consultation is aimed at residents and landowners within the conservation area to provide valuable insight into the special character of Birnam, Dunkeld & Spitalfield.
The closing date for the draft conservation area appraisals consultations is the 22 September 2025.
