The Planning Users Forum was formed in April 2010 to help us ensure that that the Council is providing a quality planning service. We now also host a Housebuilders Forum. A wide range of users of Perth and Kinross' planning system attend the forum meetings, including representatives from Community Councils, developers, architects, PKC Councillors and planning staff.

Site notices are required for a variety of reasons including incomplete neighbour notification, sites within Conservation Areas, development to Listed Buildings or affecting their settings and applications with Environmental Impact Reports. The notices identify the time period during which representations can be made to us in respect of the application.

This section provides information on the current Adopted Local Development Plan 2 (2019) and National Planning Framework (NPF4), which together, form the Development Plan to guide development and the use of land in the Perth and Kinross Area.

Regardless of whether or not you are submitting your application electronically the plans and specifications outlined below apply. For non electronic application you must submit two sets of plans and specifications although for major developments we may, subject to prior agreement, accept one set initially on the understanding that we will need two sets once the documents/plans are finalised.

Fees for advertisement consent, applications made under section 42, high hedge applications, hazardous substances consent and charges for general administrative matters.
