Community Asset Transfer
The Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 sets out the rights of communities to have significant influence or control over decisions and services which are most important to them. Part 5 of the Act gives community groups the right to request ownership, lease, or access rights to assets owned by the Council and other public bodies. This is known as Community Asset Transfer (CAT).

Wi-fi hotspots
Free Wi-Fi in Perth and Kinross is now available in Perth city centre, all the major towns, and in most Council-owned public buildings. This free access to the internet for residents and visitors complements existing commercial Wi-Fi hotspots.
Proposal to create new ISP provisions
Councillors will be asked to approve a statutory consultation about the creation of new Intensive Support Provisions (ISPs) in Perth and Kinross schools as part of the local authority's commitment to inclusive education.
