Charging and contributions

Perth and Kinross Council directly provides and externally commissions a range of accommodation and related services. In addition, the Council directly provides and externally commissions a wide range of care and support services to enable individuals who need services to remain in their home or in a homely setting, living as independently as possible. To ensure that services are sustainable for the future it is necessary to charge people who use some of our services.

Funded early learning and childcare for 2 year olds (Strong Starts)

Since August 2020, eligible two year olds across Scotland have been entitled to 1140 hours per year of funded (free) early learning and childcare in a number of local authority and funded provider nurseries where provision is available.

Adult support and protection

We work with the NHS, Police, private and voluntary sector, to ensure adults at risk in Perth and Kinross are protected from harm.
