Following the diesel spill incident near Killin, clean-up activities continue, led by SEPA and Scottish Water.
After the incident there was evidence of some contamination in Loch Tay and downstream into the River Tay. However, there have been no reports of any sightings of fuel sheen in the river or loch since Saturday afternoon.
If you do see or smell fuel in the loch or river, please report this to SEPA on 0800 80 70 60. Monitoring of the loch and river will continue for some time.
Scottish Water has taken precautionary measures to safeguard the public drinking water supply in Perth and Kinross and continues to monitor the situation. There are no concerns about the public drinking water supply anywhere in Perth and Kinross.
If your property uses a private water supply that abstracts water from Loch Tay or the River Tay, please report any suspected contamination of your water to Scottish Water on 0800 0778 778.
